  • 190ml – any hydrosol (rose otto is particularly nice)
  • 20ml – vegetable glycerin
  • 40g – emulsifying wax
  • 25ml – carrier oil of choice (rose hip, macadamia, almond, calendula, carrot seed)
  • 2.5ml – citrus seed extract
  • 2.5ml – vitamin E (3-4 caps)
  • Add essential oils of choice (18 drops in total per 30g tin – 3% dilution)

To aid healing we recommend the following number of EO drops PER 30g TIN:

Carrot Seed – 2

Tea Tree – 7

Palma Rosa – 7

Patchouli – 2

  • 2 saucepans

In saucepan 1, do the Water Phase:  combine the hydrosol and vegetable glycerin and heat to 70 degrees Celsius.

In saucepan 2, do the Fat Phase: combine the Emulsifying wax and oil and heat to 70 degrees.

Combine all the above heated ingredients by pouring the Water Phase (saucepan 1) into the Fat Phase (saucepan 2). IMPORTANT:  ALWAYS WATER GOES INTO FAT NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND

When the mixture starts to cool (37 degrees) add vitamin E and citrus seed extract. Then add essential oils. Pour into tins.

AMINYA Academy is Sunshine Coast’s leading Government Accredited Natural Therapies Training Provider (RTO 40815).

Established in 1998 in Brisbane, AMINYA was set up to provide an international standard for education in Aromatherapy and Reflexology. Since then, we’ve built a reputation as Australia’s leader in accredited Clinical Aromatherapy training. Under the guidance of Denise Lynds and Deby Atterby, Aminya Academy established Australia’s first advanced qualification in Aromatherapy in 2011, and continues to be the only RTO (Registered Training Organisation) in Australia offering an Advanced Aromatherapy Skillset (Aromatic Medicine), which qualifies graduates to use essential oils internally.

While, Denise Lynds facilitated the implementation of integrative programs into 150 aged care facilities, Deby Atterby continued on to being the Director of Aromatherapy Today Magazine and founder of the International Aromatica Australia Conference.

In 2008, the Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice and Diploma of Remedial Massage was added to our scope, providing a comprehensive integrative approach to holistic education.

While our head office is in Sunshine Coast, Queensland, with the aid of new management in 2022, we are currently expanding into other states. We have also partnered with training provider Subtle Energies in NSW who offer premiere training in Ayurveda Aromatherapy.
