This is a practical workshop where the majority of the workshop involves understanding how to easily and quickly support the body to bring about a state of calm and relaxation. Participants will get to practice numerous techniques to feel the benefits first-hand.
Mardi gives an overview of the whole nervous system and describes how stress affects our physical, mental and emotional well-being. She believes that once people understand how both sides of the nervous system work, they can create the right physiological change in their body to induce the rest and digest system (Parasympathetic Nervous System).
As a naturopath, Mardi knows the supplements, lifestyle and dietary changes that can make a difference and as a yoga teacher she is skilled in guiding people to change their breathing and frame of mind to instigate the physical changes to respond to stressful circumstances.
